On this tour you will experience the real Caribbean Costa Rica, it’s nature and culture!
It is best to take this tour in your first days here since you will learn a lot about the area and all the wonderful things you can see and do here in the Caribbean side of Costa Rica! You will also learn about Bri Bri indigenous culture and how they make chocolate, see free iguanas up close in Iguana Sanctuary run by a Bri Bri family, and swim in beautiful waterfalls surrounded by nature. And at the end we will go to a great beach bar/restaurant where you can have lunch or just enjoy the sun and the ocean!
We will pick you up at your hotel, and first will do the City Tour where you will get important practical tips and also fun ones like which beaches are good for surfing, which for swimming and which for snorkeling, where are the places where you can spot animals, where is the best Caribbean or international restaurant and where to dance the night away or listen to live music whether it is jazz or reggae.
After the City Tour we will visit Iguana Project, breeding and releasing green iguana sanctuary, located in the indigenous protected area.
The green iguana spend most of it’s life up in the trees, feeding from leafs, flowers and fruits. They can weight up to 12 kg and reach 2 mts long from head to tail. You will see free iguanas up close and learn many more interesting things about iguanas from Bri Bri family that takes care of them.
Then we will take you to a Bri Bri Chocolate Lady where you will get to know the secrets of chocolate making by Bri Bri Indigenous peoples and learn about the importance of cacao in Costa Rica!
Afterwards we will go to a beautiful waterfalls of Bri Bri, the magical place in the woods, where you can relax, jump and swim in the waterfall pool
